About Us...

Consultant focused on network research and design for aquaculture and fishing. The company was created in 2005 and has a vast experience in consulting related to the aquaculture area, such as analysis of fibers, nets, ropes and materials, designs of fish nets cages and anti-predator nets, accident reports, training in network management and construction materials, paint analysis and manufacturing processes drying and impregnation of netcages.

Aquatex complements the research area through the teaching and commercial relations with the UACH (essays hydrodynamics in test channel) and Aquastructure-Norway (finite element modeling software). In addition, it has the support of the IDIEM laboratories, DICTUC and UdeC, aimed at carrying out tests and analysis mechanical/structural of different materials used in network manufacturing.

Mechanical/structural tests of materials and additives used in the manufacture of aquaculture nets cages

They correspond to various comparative and standardized tests that allow contrasting the various mechanical properties presented by the different materials or the final product that is built with them; filaments, threads, ropes, nets, antifouling paints, etc. Tensile, stress, punching, FTIR, abrasion, shrinkage, elastic modulus, paint composition, infrared spectrum, etc. tests.

Engineering design of nets for aquaculture and fishing

Our team has extensive expertice in nets engineering design and construction of nets for both fishing and aquaculture. The above constitutes a broad technical base that supplies the modern computational tools that we use in the analysis and iteration of prototypes, in this way, they allow us to develop fishing or aquaculture gear that manages to equalize the mechanical properties of the different materials used in their manufacturing depending on the environmental conditions to which they will be required.

Network Construction Assessment

This service considers the review of the assembly nets cages, sea lions nets, and birds nets, addressing manufacturing aspects (hung, trays, accessories, finishes, etc.). Additionally, we can advise on corroborating the consumption of all the materials indicated in the network construction plan.
